FLI-3719D Arabic Intensive Reading and Writing
This intermediate level Arabic language course focuses on reading and writing while further developing students' vocabulary and grammar skills. Each week students will read, discuss and translate different authentic texts in Arabic from a variety of sources, such as excerpts from books, blogs, news, and other materials. Relevant grammar and vocabulary will be reviewed for each selection. This course is designed to support intermediate students' skill development and prepare them for further advanced study of the language. Students must demonstrate intermediate Arabic language skills including knowledge of reading and writing in Modern Standard Arabic as determined by the instructor before enrolling. This course is taught fully online with scheduled meeting times. Students will need a computer with reliable access to the internet as well as a headset/microphone for use during online sessions.
